Police Appeal-Woolhope-Please Read

POLICE APPEAL – PLEASE SHARE | Police are appealing for witnesses after a 96 year old lady from Woolhope was subjected to a distraction burglary by two young males.

The victim described that two young men as in their 20s, one had flat dark hair, knocked her side door where her utility is at between 1pm & 1.30pm today and told her there was a problem with her water as someone had been taken ill. One asked her if she had a bathroom and she said yes but your not using it. The other asked her to turn her tap on so he could check it. As she did that the other went upstairs and ransacked every room. At the moment she knows they have taken around £150 in cash and stolen a world war 1 medal which holds huge sentimental value. The victim believes they were hanging around the day before as she noticed someone sitting in a car and wondered what they were doing. There was a white golf seen outside the lady’s house around the time it happened. The victim lives in Woolhope on her own and is 96. Please share this information with any elderly or vulnerable relatives or friends.
