Accessibility
How we work to make the hall — and this website — usable by everyone.
The building
The hall has been designed and adapted to welcome people with a range of access needs:
- Step-free, ramped access from the car park
- Stairlift between floors
- Accessible WC with grab rails and emergency cord
- Baby-changing facilities
- Designated disabled parking close to the entrance
- Wide doorways and a flat main hall floor
If you have specific access requirements (mobility, hearing, visual, sensory, dietary), please tell us when you book and we'll do our best to help.
This website
We aim for this site to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. In practice this means:
- Clear, readable typography and high colour contrast
- A "skip to content" link at the top of each page
- Keyboard-navigable menus and forms
- Semantic headings to make screen-reader navigation easier
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Responsive layout that works on phones, tablets and desktops
If anything is hard to use or read, please let us know at info@woolhopeparish.org and we'll fix it as quickly as our volunteer team can.
